This, my friends, is going to be image heavy. It's my ~Farewell Newfoundland ♥♥♥~ post.

GEORGE STREET, I WILL MISS GETTING BEAUTIFULLY SMASHED AND STUMBLING ALONG YOUR COBBLESTONES.

This is my city. It's the oldest city in North America (even though it was burnt down... three times o.O) and so we keep all the historical buildings we can. This is along Water Street, one of the touristy/hipstery/business streets downtown. I just, I think it's so quaint. The whole street is like this :3

We also, for an unknown reason, built about 7~8 mermaid statues a couple years ago. The one with the cow/field design was demolished. Probably because it was but ugly, lmao. But the chocolate one's still here ♥

Downtown also houses a lot of local artists, in form of graffiti. This is just a small parking area, and they painted different scenes within the squares, and I think it's charming.

This one's just fucking awesome.

The war memorial downtown is my favourite place in the city. When I lived near downtown/went to school there, I'd just walk there and sit along the curve in the entrance, just to relax. I used to fall asleep there actually, which was, not smart D: But yes, it's along Duckworth Street (one of the other downtowny streets) and looks over the harbour that leads to the ocean, and alksjdhfghdjs, calms me down so easily. I can't really explain why, but, yes.

Favourite store ever. Everything is created by local artists. I've boughten two coats, countless hats, purses, wallets, earrings (OMG THE EARRINGS), necklaces, trinkets, trinkets, trinkets, and incense. I've been shopping there for... six years now, maybe?

Another parking area, but with Aboriginal art. I think it's Aboriginal, anyway...?

JIGGS DINNER. FRIG YES. It's a Newfoundland tradition to have this cooked dinner every Sunday. I took this photo this past Sunday, which will be my last Jiggs Dinner for the next two and a half months. Oh, lord. It's so good, holy mother of god ♥

I took this photo today, just along the road of a town on the outskirts on the city. Outer Cove, I believe? Anyway, this is the Atlantic Ocean. It was hard to try and get the view I could see to fit into the camera. Probably because the view is endless, and beautiful, and breathtaking. But, this is what I could do. God, I love living by the ocean...

ON ANOTHER NOTE. Today I took dad to the Japanese restaurant downtown, Sun Sushi, and I finally ordered yakiniku. After years of seeing it in countless variety programs and dramas, I tasted yakiniku for myself. IT WAS. IT WAS SO AMAZING, DEAR LORD. I had to bring most of it home, cause I ended up filling myself on the gyoza appetizer since dad didn't like it (and I could live off of it) but fuck, was it ever delicious ♥

Hung out with Fufu later tonight. She has a bunny named Jackson. Hiiiiiii.

All this being said, and as much as I know I'm going to miss this city, this province... I'm ready to move. I'm sick of living in limbo; knowing I'm leaving Newfoundland soon, but knowing I'm not in Halifax yet. I just want to move there already.

Tomorrow I'm spending the day/night/next day at Jess'. Our last girl day sleepover until I fly back for my birthday in November. This is just, like, saddening. But I'm gonna bring my HanaDan DVDs so we can watch the second season (probably won't finish it but lmao whatever) and I bought cake mix tonight to make Jun a birthday cake. More like, give us an excuse to bake a cake, but still. The thought is there :3
